Communication

A Monday memo is sent home at the beginning of every week with dates and reminders of upcoming events. A monthly calendar is sent home at the beginning of every month with school related activities and events.

Busing

CBFCS has a shared service agreement with the Swan Valley School Division regarding busing. They will bus our students
(JK-Gr.8) to CBFCS as long as they are already on an existing bus route. There is an additional charge of $400/year/JK student for parents who wish to use the bus service. Please contact the bus garage: (204-734-3415) to make arrangements.

Volunteer Drivers

School staff/teachers & parent volunteers often drive students on field trips. Please adhere to the laws regarding safety
seats. All children are to be in an appropriate seat until they are 80 lbs or 9 years old. This means that booster seats may
be required.

PAC

We have a parent advisory council, which any parent is welcome to be a member of. Positions on PAC are: chairperson, secretary, treasurer or member at large. This group co-ordinates donations to the school hot lunch program and organizes fundraisers to contribute to projects for the school.

Chapel

Every Friday from about 9:15 -9:50 am is chapel. This is time where the whole school comes together for announcements, worship and a devotional or lesson. Parents are always welcome to attend.

Hot Lunch Program

All students/staff are welcome to participate in a hot lunch program every Thursday. Once a month, a form goes home that lists the lunches being offered each Thursday. Costs usually range from $4.50-$5.50 per meal. Participation is optional. Proceeds from the hot lunch program contribute to field trips and extra classroom resources.
